द बैकयार्डिगन्स

द बैकयार्डिगन्स is the Hindi dub of The Backyardigans. It premiered in 2013 on ZeeQ India. Its romanized title is the same as that of the original English version.

Only the dialogue is recorded in Hindi; the songs are left in English.

The series previously aired on another channel, Pogo, with the original English audio.

Official description

From ZeeQ: "Five friends, Uniqua, Pablo, Tyrone, Tasha and Austin, star in this animated musical adventure series aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 10. In each episode, these friends rely on their vivid imaginations to transform their backyard into completely different worlds, in which they go through many sorts of stories and adventures.

Their backyard transforms to depict various scenarios, ranging from prehistoric times to adventurous fantasies, and presents them with multiple dilemmas along the way to accomplishing a certain goal or priority. The Backyardigans are a musical lot that will sing throughout the course of the show as they resolve the challenges."

Broadcast

Episodes continue to air on ZeeQ India. In 2015, the series was put into a one-year-hiatus, before returning in late-2016. In 2017, however, the television channel shut down, following its transition into a digital-exclusive channel; the series was not carried over to its digital content lineup.

Trivia

ZeeQ's YouTube channel currently features eight The Backyardigans videos, in addition to a playlist including five of them. These videos were also available on ZeeQ's website until 2015.
This is the first dub that has the title translated as the original version, the second being the Bengali dub.
