Alicia Augello Cook (born January 25, 1981), known professionally as Alicia Keys, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She provided the voice of Mommy Martian in the second season premiere episode "Mission to Mars".
Keys and Leon Thomas are the only cast members that have provided both a character's speaking and singing voices at some point.
Biography
Keys was born and raised in the Manhattan area of New York City. Her first television appearance was on The Cosby Show as a four-year-old. At age 12, she enrolled in the Professional Performing Arts School, where she majored in choir. She began writing songs during her time there and graduated, as valedictorian, at age 16.
Keys' debut album from J Records, Songs in A Minor, sold more than 12 million copies worldwide after its release in June 2001. Due to its success, she became the best-selling R&B artist of 2001 and won five Grammy Awards in 2002. Keys has since recorded four additional studio albums.
