Backyardigans

Backyardigans is the Swedish dub of the television series of the same name.

The dub premiered in 2006 on Nickelodeon with the episode "Piratskatten".

I varje avsnitt förvandlas deras bakgård till ett fantastisk landskap som för vännerna till storslagna äventyr tillsammans. Vem sätter gränser för fantasin? Inte Austin, Pablo, Tasha, Tyrone och Uniqua i allafall!

Translation: Backyardigans is an animated musical adventure about five adventurous pals. In every episode, their backyard transforms into a fantastic landscape for the friends to have magnificent adventures together in. Who sets the limits for imagination? Not Austin, Pablo, Tasha, Tyrone, and Uniqua, at least!

Broadcast

Episodes had been broadcast in Sweden on Nickelodeon from 2006 to 2014. The series was also broadcast on the Nick Jr. channel from 2010 to 2014.

Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. only aired the first three seasons, in PAL. Episodes were broadcast in their native 4:3 fullscreen aspect ratio.

Distribution

Backyardigans has been released on home video by Paramount Home Entertainment in Sweden, as well as the UK, Sweden, and Germany. Videos were first released in 2006.

The first season and third season have been available on Netflix in Norway and Sweden, and previously Denmark, since 2013. The second season has also been available to stream, but was removed in 2017.

All three seasons have also been made available to stream on the Viaplay streaming service since 2017, in Scandinavia.

Trivia

Recordings for the third season have been done as early as 2007.
