In "Castaways", Tyrone spots a fish by the shore of Castaway Island. In "Save the Day", Tasha searches for an oversized trout, dubbed a whopper. In "Into the Deep", a school of fish swims by the mermaids' garden. The same fish appear in the background in the Quest for the Extra Ordinary Aliens and Sea Deep in Adventure performances. Looks Each fish is a light blue-gray color. They have mist-colored fins and heads. They appear to be trout. Appearances Fish have appeared in three episodes of The Backyardigans: "Castaways", "Save the Day", and "Into the Deep". They also appear in the performances Quest for the Extra Ordinary Aliens and Sea Deep in Adventure. The fish from "Castaways" is mentioned in the episode's book adaptation. This adaptation is also included in the compilations Backyard Stories and Ready-to-Read Treasury. The fish from "Into the Deep" are seen in Deep-Sea Countdown with slightly altered designs and different colors.
