Flower Girl Played by Uniqua First appearance "Flower Power" Flower Girl is Flower Seller Uniqua's superhero alter-ego. She developed the power to create flowers after getting pricked on the finger by an unusual plant's thorn. Flower Girl can shoot light beams from her hands to make flowers appear, rainbow spectrums that make fireworks go off, and pollen that makes people sneeze. Flower Girl's powers only work under the sunlight. They can't be used in dark places. Looks Flower Girl is mostly of a pink color. She wears a white and pink dress with a pink flower in the middle. She wears purple glasses with petal-shaped rims, white and pink gloves, magenta tights, and white boots. Appearances Uniqua has played Flower Girl in one episode of The Backyardigans: "Flower Power" from season four. Trivia Flower Girl's design and powerset bear a striking resemblance to those of Cure Blossom, one of the protagonists from the anime Heartcatch Pretty Cure!; however, "Flower Power" first aired in November of 2009, less than three months before the start of Heartcatch Pretty Cure!'s initial airing in Japan. Flower Girl's origin story harkens to that of the Marvel superhero Spider-Man, who got his powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider.
